- Develop and maintain Android platform and system-level components related to connectivity and networking.
- Work with Android system internals and framework components to support platform enhancements.
- Design and implement solutions related to network routing, Wi-Fi, and Android connectivity services.
- Ensure proper integration between Android systems and backend services/APIs.
- Work with application authorization and permission frameworks within the Android platform.
- Support Android Compatibility Definition Document (CDD) compliance and Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) testing.
- Contribute to Android certification readiness and platform validation processes.
- Develop and integrate native components using C++ and JNI where required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend, QA, and system engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to connectivity, networking, and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Android development or Android platform/system engineering.
- Strong understanding of Android system internals and architecture.
- Experience working with network routing, Wi-Fi, and Android connectivity services.
- Knowledge of Android application authorization and permission frameworks.
- Familiarity with Android Compatibility (CDD/CTS) and certification processes.
- Experience with backend integration and API communication.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
- Experience working with C++ and JNI for system-level integration.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and system integration skills.
