To support our accelerating revenue growth and ambitious product roadmap, we are seeking an Android developer to join our team. Main responsibilities
- Implement new features and maintain existing ones for our Android app.
- Take ownership of specific feature implementations and produce structured, easy to read and efficient code.
- Write unit tests, functional tests and verify your code against defined test cases.
- Writing specification for software for medical devices.
- Participate in code review and ensure timely delivery of high-quality code.
- Discuss possible implementations with other team members and create and maintain the overall design and architecture of our app.
- Estimate development efforts and do sprint planning together with the team.
- Keep track of your work and make sure to follow Aktiia's development process.
- Plan releases together with the team and supports the release of our app on the Google Play Store.
Required competences / education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field.
- Working experience as an Android developer.
- Functional and automation testing, writing specification and documentation.
- Knowledge of distributed version control systems, like Git.
- Experience with OpenCV, NDK, Camera API
- Good knowledge about software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles in a regulated industry with experience in medical device software development is a big plus.
- Willingness to work flexibly, in an interdisciplinary and international environment, depending on the current project status.
- Strong analytical skills and process-oriented work style with a structured, independent approach to work and focus on getting things done.
- Stress-resistant, even in fast-paced and busy situations.
- Fluency in English (French and other European languages are a plus).
