Android Developer-II

Job Brief:

We’re seeking a highly motivated Android Developer to join our mobile engineering team. You’ll help design, develop, and maintain our Android applications while growing your craft through collaboration, code reviews, and hands-on delivery. In this role, you’ll contribute to team discussions, learn our architecture and standards, and help ensure our apps deliver strong performance and usability.
Here’s What You’ll Do:  

• Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin (and Java as needed)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and Android development guidelines
• Help ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by participating in testing, debugging, and performance tuning
• Participate in code reviews (both giving and receiving feedback) to align with team standards and improve code quality
• Keep up to date with the latest mobile technology trends, techniques, and best practices

What You Bring to the Table:  

• 2+ years of programming experience in Android development (preferably Kotlin)
• Working knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, and best practices.
• Familiarity with integrating and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with modern tools, frameworks and associated patterns like Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/RxJava, OkHttp, Android build variants.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
