About the Role


We are partnering with a leader in the audio entertainment industry, serving over 150 million users worldwide. As an Android Engineer at AscentCore, you’ll be part of a dynamic team developing next-generation infotainment features that enhance driving experiences through seamless music, news, and podcast streaming.



Responsibilities
  • Assist in integrating and troubleshooting SiriusXM software solutions for delivering SAT and streaming audio in embedded automotive IVI systems based on AAOS
  • Use diagnostic tools like ADB, logcat, dumpsys, and systrace to analyze and resolve system issues
  • Assist in implementing HAL/PAL, Binder IPC, and system services for integration with automotive hardware components
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support software integration and issue resolution
  • Participate in system testing and validation on automotive platforms to ensure compliance with industry standards


Requirements
  • BS in Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in Android software development, integration, or troubleshooting
  • Basic experience debugging Android Framework, JNI, HAL, or IPC mechanisms in embedded systems
  • Understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Foundational knowledge of AOSP and familiarity with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) is a big plus
  • Familiarity with MVVM design patterns
  • Knowledge of VAST/VPAID standards is nice to have
  • Experience with streaming technologies is a plus
