The Role

As a Android Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the mobile experiences at the core of our platform. This is a hands-on, individual contributor position, ideal for someone passionate about building high-quality, scalable applications that power millions of interactions.

You’ll be part of a world-class engineering team that values collaboration, creativity, and ownership. From designing robust architecture to refining the smallest UI interaction, your work will have real impact, not just on our users, but across the entire business.

We’re looking for someone who is deeply familiar with Android development, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and is ready to take technical ownership in a product-led organization. What you will be doing

• Build and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and modern Android components.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle: from technical planning and system design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Design dynamic and adaptive UIs with clean architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Integrate with high-volume, distributed backend systems through RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Own performance optimization, profiling, debugging, and testing across a wide range of Android devices and OS versions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, from Product to QA, to deliver delightful and reliable mobile experiences.
• Champion best practices around CI/CD, test automation, Git workflows, and third-party library management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to continuous improvement of our development processes and infrastructure.

Requirements

What you need for this role

• Strong experience with Android SDK, Kotlin, Java, Coroutines, and Lifecycle-aware components.
• Solid knowledge of Android UI/UX principles and architecture components like Fragments and Jetpack libraries.
• Demonstrated experience working on high-traffic, transactional mobile platforms.
• Skilled in design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with libraries like Retrofit, Dagger, and RxJava.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, and test automation tools.
• Strong unit and UI testing skills.
• Agile mindset and proven experience working with tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with distributed teams.
• Startup or hyper-growth environment experience is a strong plus.
