Android Engineer

As an Android Engineer at Temper, you’ll help shape the future of our Android app, one of the main ways thousands of workers connect with our platform every day. You’ll build reliable, scalable, and user-friendly features that empower people to work when and where they want.

🧩 Your Role at Temper 

• Build new features from scratch and continuously improve everything you touch.

• Ensure quality and stability by covering your work with unit and end-to-end tests.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver user-focused solutions.

• Drive innovation within the Android guild by sharing knowledge & best practices.

• Contribute to a clean, scalable app architecture that supports a reliable, high performing user experience.

💪 What You Bring to the Team

 ✅ Must-Haves

• 3+ years of experience in Android application development

• A passion for mobile development and a strong understanding of the Android ecosystem

• Solid experience of shipping high quality native Android applications

• Interest in making a big impact rather than just polishing small details.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to adapt quickly in a scale-up environment

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development tools

Our stack

• We use Kotlin to develop all our applications

• We follow Clean Architecture and use MVVM on the presentation layer

• We use Jetpack Compose for the UI and navigation 

• We share some logic between iOS and Android apps with help of Kotlin Multiplatform

• We don’t have manual QA, engineers are responsible for writing unit and end-to-end (Appium) tests
