About You

You take pride in writing high-quality, high-performance code, and enjoy working with a team of awesome developers. You are humble with a sense of humor and don’t take yourself too seriously. You are passionate about chess, and whether you've been working in or dreaming of working in the gaming industry, you're ready to turn your talents toward the game we love! We have been ranked #1 in the app store and have served more than two BILLION chess games, but we need you to help take us to 10 billion and beyond.

You understand the unique challenges of building for different audiences. From creating engaging, age-appropriate experiences for young learners on ChessKid to developing sophisticated features for coaches and institutions. You appreciate the importance of safety, privacy, and educational design when it comes to children's platforms, and you're excited about the opportunity to inspire the next generation of chess players through thoughtful, intuitive technology.

What you'll do

• Work on our ChessKid app
• Create engaging, playful features that make learning chess exciting and rewarding for young players
• Cross-team collaboration (designers, managers, analysts, coaches, titled players)
