iOS Engineer (Remote - India)

This role offers the opportunity to join a fast-growing, innovative technology platform focused on entertainment and sports applications. As an iOS Engineer, you will work on the greenfield development of a high-impact iOS app used by millions of users. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end features, from UI to business logic and networking. The role involves designing scalable solutions, optimizing performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience. You will also mentor junior team members, participate in code reviews, and help shape the architecture and best practices for the iOS platform. This is a highly collaborative and dynamic environment with exposure to modern mobile development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and creative problem-solving challenges.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality native iOS features from UI to backend integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and backend engineering.
• Maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and navigation maps.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Analyze system and process issues, propose improvements, and implement solutions.
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers to support team growth and capability building.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience developing consumer-facing iOS applications using Swift.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, MVC architecture, and iOS design patterns.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, handling multithreaded tasks, push notifications, and persistence.
• Deep understanding of memory management, networking, caching, performance optimization, localization, and security.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Prior experience working with remote or distributed teams is a plus.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with mobile video playback and streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with reactive programming frameworks (RxSwift, Combine).
• Knowledge of AVFoundation, CoreData, WKWebView, and TCP/IP socket programming.
