This is a remote position.

About the Job 

As a Senior Android Engineer at Aspire, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. Previous experience as a Tech lead and/or interaction with principal engineers and architects is highly preferred. Web experience is a plus. You should have a deep understanding of Kotlin, Android SDK, Kotlin coroutines, design patterns, Android architecture, unit and UI testing. Experience with releasing apps on Google Play Console is essential.


What you’ll do
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.
  • Acting as a Tech lead and providing guidance to the development team.
  • Collaborating with principal engineers and architects to ensure the technical integrity of the applications.
  • Releasing apps on Google Play Console and managing the app lifecycle.
  • Mentoring junior developers and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Participating in requirement analysis, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Implementing unit tests and UI tests to ensure application reliability and stability.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in professional Android development.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, Kotlin coroutines, and design patterns.
  • Deep understanding of Android architecture components and MVVM/MVP architecture.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and UI testing frameworks such as Espresso.
  • Ability to mentor and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with releasing apps on Google Play Console.
  • Familiarity with mobile CI/CD systems, preferably Bitrise.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
