Senior Android Engineer (Remote - Hungary)

Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to design, build, and release new Android features.
• Deliver clean, well-tested, and maintainable code in Kotlin and Java.
• Lead re-architecture initiatives to modernize legacy components for scalability and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers, support team-wide best practices, and help improve agile workflows.
• Ensure data-driven decision-making through monitoring and analysis of user behavior and app metrics.
• Maintain a strong focus on security and usability in all stages of development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Android app development using Java/Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of data structures, asynchronous programming, and Android core APIs.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals and a commitment to clean, maintainable code.
• Experience in agile, fast-moving product environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Bonus: Familiarity with cryptography and secure coding best practices.
