About Flutter Functions:

The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company.

Role Overview:

Flutter Technology are recruiting for a Senior Enterprise Platform Engineer, the Senior Enterprise Platform engineer will report into the Enterprise IT Engineering Manager working closely with them, architecture, product and delivery. The Senior Engineer will have technical ownership of the Atlassian, Slack and GitHub Enterprise platforms, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and security while driving enhancements and best practices. These tools are key to Flutter Group, consumed by all areas, all with their own set of requirements we need to build and support to.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of key technologies used across Flutter’s Enterprise IT eco-system and the wider Flutter Group. This is a senior role where you will provide technical guidance, mentor team members, and collaborate with a talented and motivated team to drive key initiatives.

You will work with all brands across the group to align and modernize our enterprise services, deliver technology solutions to meet their needs, and promote knowledge sharing within the engineering community.

The right candidate will have experience working with enterprise organisations on large scale migration/modernisation transformation projects. This will have involved a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, coupled with a strong technical understanding to provide confidence and answer questions, an ability to engage and help crystallise business benefits of migrations, demonstrate an excellent technical understanding of cloud/SaaS solutions, and a passion for helping to transform using these types of technologies.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Enterprise Platform Engineer will need to review, assess, and define technical requirements (including sign off) for Flutter Functions Projects, based on the suitability to align with divisional requirements. 
  • With a specific focus on Atlassian Enterprise, Slack Enterprise and GitHub Enterprise, the role will lead the ongoing configuration, maintenance, and administration of these tools. Onboarding brands onto these platforms
  • Outside of the specific focus the Enterprise Platform team will also take on administration + ownership of wider tools in the Enterprise space (Comms platforms, PagerDuty, Grafana etc)
  • Evaluate and manage the usage of these Enterprise services to meet team and business needs, automating business requirements to drive enhanced groupwide productivity. 
  • Full-service engagement and provide ideas, options, solutions, and advice to global projects. 
  • Liaise with other Flutter Functions and the divisional Enterprise functions, building and maintaining strong relationships, recognising opportunities for strategic collaboration. 
  • Define, document, support, and approve LLD’s, process creation, and perform maintenance on Flutter Enterprise Platform technologies.  
  • Design, test and deploy API integrations to SaaS applications for enhancements of products
  • Design, configure, test, deploy and enhance automations within these stacks using workflow engine builders
  • Responsible for the triage and resolution of Flutter Enterprise IT technology Incidents and Service Requests. 
  • Support the Enterprise IT Engineer Manager and Workplace Architects with strategy and planning with a global mindset. 
  • Facilitate the development and communication of Flutter Group standards for design, development, and deployment. 
  • Trusted business partner to encourage interaction from the area (answer ad-hoc questions, share technical expertise, improve processes, improve understanding of how business areas interact with Workplace Technology). 
  • Ownership to create and to drive adoption of standard operating procedures/Runbooks and Workplace standards and policies. 
  • Understand people, process & technology to provide enhanced consultancy, faster reviews, and better engagement. 
  • Liaise with Third Party vendors and partners. 
  • Participate in an on-call rota to support the tooling out of hours

Experience:

  • Building and operating Enterprise and Cloud platforms
  • Detailed understanding of administering SaaS Enterprise platforms
  • Owned the administration and strategic roadmap of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and GitHub Enterprise across a large-scale organisation.
  • Led migrations of Atlassian, GitHub and Slack tenants
  • Oversaw marketplace app management and licensing for Atlassian tools, optimising tool usage and managing vendor relationships
  • Provided training and documentation to onboard teams and promote consistent usage of Jira boards, GitHub repos, and Confluence spaces.
  • Delivering systems in security compliant environments.
  • Writing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Sharing knowledge with your peers and across the wider engineering community.
  • Working in an agile environment.
  • Incident, change, problem, and risk management.
  • Bonus points for previous software engineering experience, coding, and automation.
