We're looking for an<strong> Android Engineer</strong> to take ownership of our Android development efforts and contribute to shaping our mobile app vision.</p><h3><strong>Your Role</strong></h3><ul><li>Own the development of Pika’s next-generation Android applications, ensuring top-tier performance and seamless user experiences.</li><li>Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to design and implement features that delight users.</li><li>Drive the overall technical vision and architecture for the Android platform, ensuring scalability and robustness.</li><li>Mentor and guide other Android engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams to align on product goals and ensure seamless integration across platforms.</li><li>Stay at the forefront of modern Android frameworks, tools, and design trends, driving continuous improvement.</li></ul><h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Seasoned</strong> professional, experienced in building and shipping consumer-facing Android applications.</li><li>Mastery of <strong>Kotlin</strong> and expertise in the Android ecosystem, including Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and related tools.</li><li>Direct work on UI/UX with modern frameworks and a strong understanding of Design principles.</li><li>Proven track record of leading engineering efforts for apps live in the Google Play Store, showcasing exceptional design, functionality, and performance.</li><li>Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring engineers and fostering team collaboration.</li><li>Passion for user-focused design and an eye for detail.</li></ul><h3><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></h3><ul><li>Experience building <strong>video or multimedia apps</strong> is a strong plus.</li><li>Knowledge of core animation, graphics, and media frameworks.</li></ul><h3><strong>What We Offer</strong></h3><ul><li>Competitive salary: $225,000–$275,000, depending on experience and location.</li><li>Equity in a fast-growing startup shaping the future of video creation.</li><li>A supportive and collaborative office culture - we’re all building and launching together.</li></ul><p> </p>
